2020s

RESILIENCE, GROWTH & INNOVATION

A new factory opens in Vietnam, dedicated to licensed costume and character apparel — marking Charter Link’s bold entry into a high-growth, design-driven category and deepening its footprint in the North American retail supply chain.

2000s

ICONIC PARTNERSHIPS & ASIAN EXPANSION

2000

lululemon becomes a partner of Pacifica Manufacturing — at a time when technical activewear barely existed as a category. lululemon’s founder invests directly into the facility, making Charter Link a joint partner in the brand’s early growth. The founding product and development team works out of our Vancouver offices, creating a close loop between design, manufacturing, and community feedback. This culture of tight collaboration remains in our DNA today.

2003

Charter Link expands into mainland China, opening a production facility in Dongguan — positioned at the heart of the Pearl River Delta manufacturing corridor and marking the group’s first step into Asia-based operations.

1990s

BUILDING FROM THE GROUND UP

1992

Mr. Frankie Hon and Mrs. Elky Ma (Hon), Hong Kong industrialists, arrive in Canada and establish Pacifica Manufacturing in Vancouver — Charter Link’s first facility, specialising in high-quality sportswear production.

1997

Elky takes on direct responsibility for overseeing production at Pacifica Manufacturing, bringing her garment expertise to the factory floor and raising the facility’s quality and operational standards.
